On Sunday we had breakfast at XIX downtown Philadelphia and got inspired to make a yogurt with granola breakfast. Nothing new in combining yogurt with berries and granola. Just use your imagination and find the combinations you like best. Here’s a version we tried today.
Yogurt with berries and granola
- a layer of plain low fat yogurt
- a layer of granola
- a layer of strawberries, cut in cubes
- another layer of yogurt
- another layer of granola
- top with raspberries and blueberries
Notes and tips: Letting the strawberries rest in orange or apple juice can work miracles, especially if the strawberries are not very sweet or juicy. If you don’t want to wait on them, make your first layer with strawberries, add a tablespoon of juice and then continue with layers of fruit and granola.
