Deconstructed Sushi

This is more of an idea than a recipe but it’s awesome and we can’t get enough of it after my son “invented” it a couple of weeks ago. You can put it together in minutes but you need to equip yourself with two critical ingredients. First, you need seaweed snacks that you can get from several places. I get mine either from Trader Joe’s or Costco. Second, you need some form of sticky rice. You can make it from scratch or buy precooked.

Ingredients

  • Seaweed snacks
  • Sticky rice
  • Any of the following: avocado pieces, guacamole, smoked salmon, cucumber, shredded carrot…
  • Soy sauce

How to make: Arrange seaweed snack on a flat surface. Add on teaspoon of sticky rice. Add a teaspoon of any topping you have that you commonly find in sushi rolls. Add a drop of soy sauce. Ready!
