Here’s another recipe I made while we were in Greece. In summer, peaches are sweet and plentiful in Greece, and still quite reasonably priced compared to the U.S. In the photo, the smoothies stand tall and proud next to our seashell wreath, made exclusively from the seashells my kids and their uncle collected from the beach. Beautiful memories and fun times. To make this smoothie, I took a look at the smoothie web and then made my own version. Get your peaches and blender ready!
Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups ripe peaches, skinned and sliced
- 1 cup milk
- 2 scoops vanilla ice-cream
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- pinch of nutmeg
How to make: Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Always taste the smoothie before you take it out of the blender and adjust. If the peaches are not ripe, you may need to add some sugar and blend a bit more. If it’s too thick, add some more milk.
My son will love this smoothie!
Hi Eri,
I’m sure he will! Did you go to Greece this summer?
Mom, that was a great smoothie! I like the picture too!
