Couple of weeks ago I got a honeydew melon from the supermarket. Maybe I should know better than to buy a melon this time of the year. The aroma was there but it didn’t taste sweet at all. My kids looked seriously reluctant to eat the melon and my husband wasn’t crazy about it either. Time for smoothie! Drooling at what this smoothie will taste like with real, sweet, summer melons.
Ingredients for 2 smoothies
- 2 cups melon, cut in pieces
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar (optional, only if the melon is not sweet)
How to make: Put all the ingredients in a blender until well combined. I put all the ingredients in a tall container and blend them with a stick blender. Be sure to taste it and make adjustments before you serve.
