Linguine with creamy sauce

We all need some comfort food.  Here’s a grown up comfort food taste  –loved by all.  Mmmmm…. The creamy sauce recipe comes from `Kitchen Secrets‘.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • A packet of linguine (I got two from the  Trader Joe’s kind, one green)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped spring onions
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan
  • salt and nutmeg

How to make: Cook the linguine following package instructions. For the sauce, saute the chopped onions, 3-4 minutes, add the heavy cream, milk, salt and nutmeg and simmer for about 10 minutes or until it thickens. Don’t forget to keep stirring.  When the sauce is thickened, stir in the Parmesan and serve.
