Ian Smith in his book has a much longer list of snacks (150 calories or less) that what I posted here. I won’t post the whole list but with these 15 , you have most of it.
- 8 saltine crackers with 2 teaspoons peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- Half a “finger” of string cheese with 5 whole wheat crackers
- 1/2 whole grain bagel with 1 1/2 teaspoons light cream cheese
- 1 cup tomato soup made with water
- 1/2 medium cantaloupe
- 2 stalks celery and 2 ounces humus
- Four large marshmallows
- 1/2 cup frozen orange juice (eat it like an Italian ice or sorbet)
- 60 Pepperidge Farm Baby Goldfish Crackers
- 1/2 cup vegetable soup
- 1 seven-grain Belgian waffle, 1 teaspoon syrup allowed
- 1 medium banana and 1 tbsp cottage cheese
- 1 small baked sweet potato with 2 tbsp fat-free sour cream
- 3 domino-size slices low-fat cheese
