For the 100th… yes, 100th(!) post of mydinnertoday, it is with great pleasure that I post mydinnertoday’s signature burgers, prepared from scratch by my husband, bowl with meat in one hand, laptop with mydinnertoday’s signature meatballs recipe on the other. Grilled to perfection, served in hamburger buns, with ketchup and french fries at the side, all cooked outdoors. And then marshmallows on the firepit (see below) sandwiched with chocolate in graham crackers. That was our Sunday dinner. A rare and …sinful treat, that made it all the more special. Here’s to spring and fun.

Recipe
Ingredients (double it to get more than 4 burgers)
- 1 pound or 1/2 kilo minced meat (preferably lean beef/veal
- 6 tablespoons ketchup
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 pulped onion
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
How to make: Put all the ingredients in a big bowl and mix very well using your hands until all the ingredients are folded in nicely. Take small portions in your hand and shape them into burgers, or better yet, use a patty press to shape them evenly. Then on the grill. The end.
