Pan seared top sirloin fillet

The sirloin fillet is top quality, naturally tender part of beef meat. You don’t need to try hard to make it tasty. For myself, I served it with blue cheese on top and edamame beans.  My husband and kids had it with peas and mashed potatoes (see photo below).

How to make: Season 4 top sirloin steaks with salt and pepper.  Heat 1 tablespoon oil and two tablespoons butter in a heavy pan. Sear the meat to desired doneness.  Three minutes per side for rare, but that’s not us. I cooked it for about 5-7 minutes per side. A minute or two before the meat is done, add some garlic slices in the pan for extra flavor. Serve as you like. You can’t go wrong with this piece of meat.  Quick, juicy and tasteful.
