Steamed tilapia

I love the simplicity of this recipe. It’s Vicky’s steamed fish recipe and you’ve seen before at mydinnertoday. This time I made with frozen tilapia that  I found at Lidl.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • tilapia fish fillets
  • salt, pepper,  thyme, marjoram
  • olive oil
  • lemon juice and lemon zest

How to make: Clean the tilapia fillets and rub them lightly with salt, pepper, thyme and marjoram.  Put them  in freezer bags (optional, I didn’t) .   Use whatever pot you use to steam food and fill the bottom with a couple of inches water.  Put the  steamer tray in. When the pot is filled with steam, add the fish quickly, cover, turn off the heat and let it stand for about 10 minutes. Remove and serve with olive oil, lemon juice and lemon zest on top.
